The PSM 8601860 is a Philips & Temro Zerostart Freeze Plug Block Heater, designed to replace a standard 58 mm aluminum freeze plug with a 1,000 W, 120 V electric heating element. Engineered as a direct-fit block heater, it mounts into the right‑rear port of compatible 8.3 L Cummins C‑Series engines (e.g. Cummins 6C8.3 & 6CTA8.3), as well as select Ford and Case IH/New Holland models, where it gently warms engine coolant and block mass to support cold weather starts and reduce internal wear. This heater allows easier starting and quicker cabin heat output by maintaining engine pre-warm conditions until use. Tailored for specific diesel engine applications, it provides reliable power output and OEM-level compatibility for efficient winter performance.
