Description

The 8C5230 seal O-ring is a type of rubber O-ring specifically made from FKM material. It has a dash size of 327 and is designed to be used in applications that require resistance to temperatures, air, fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids. The O-ring's primary sealing material is rubber with a section diameter of 0.21 inches, an inside diameter of 1.725 inches and an outside diameter of 2.145 inches. It has a hardness rating of 75 Shore A. You can use this O-ring with lubricants, halogenated hydrocarbons, petroleum fluids, phosphate ester fluids, silicone fluids and some acids. However, it is not compatible with amines, brake fluids, engine coolant, fire resistant fluids, ketones or steam. Also note that it should not be used for applications requiring resistance to water or coolant. FKM rubber is suitable for service temperatures ranging from -40 to 150° C, offers resistance to air exposure as well as fuel (including bio-diesel), lubricants and oils.
